From Ma'ariv, Friday, May 28, 1999, by Yossi Harsonosky (translated): Singing Like Angels What heights these children are able to reach in singing, and not just children, but children of Harlem, a town whose connotations are not usually identified with culture-seeking youth. The question is of course, what could we expect from them, and the Boys' Choir of Harlem far surpassed all our expectations.
Both halves of the evening were
excellent: the traditional classical part devoted to pure music, and the
wide-ranging entertainment section that included dancing with excellent
choreography. The choir, conducted by Walter J. Turnbull, is one of the
finest of its kind in quality of tone,
